As a dance artist, I utilize choreographic problem solving in my creative process, taking a specific concept or image and translating it into spatial patterns and movement phrases. For example, I take the movements of a pendulum and create choreography that similarly moves through space. Other concepts and images that I have explored in my creative process include different forms of water imagery, the emotion of grief, and interweaving relationships. My choreography aims to take familiar concepts from our everyday lives and translate them into dance, creating more accessibility and connecting to the lives of others.
